Having your baby in the NICU is unbelievably hard and having to do so during the holidays was one of the hardest things my husband and I have ever done. Christmas is our favourite holiday for so many reasons so we still wanted to get into the holiday spirit as best as we could. I came up with this list as it gave us something to look forward to at the end of each day. It would make us laugh, cry, and most importantly give us some quality time with each other like we did during our early dating days. Something that can be hard to do while navigating work and long NICU shifts. This year, I have created a list of movies to watch throughout December to help get you into the holiday spirit or a way to reminisce over some family favourites that you might’ve grown up with. The goal is to start with “general” Christmas movies and eventually dive into the iconic Christmas ones as we get closer to December 25. The list isn’t perfect and there will be variations from year to year as we’ll add some, remove some, move some later into the month and some earlier. You do not have to watch a movie every single day. You could pick the ones you want and watch them only or you could check the list when you are looking for a holiday movie to watch.
